Darik Cruz Martínez is the co-owner and President of MCM Law Firm, LLC., law firm established in Mayaguez since 2011.Darik has more than 15 years of experience. Mr. Cruz focused his practice in civil and commercial matters including banking, corporate law, debt collection, business law, compliance, notary and general civil law matters. Darik was In House Counsel at Westernbank Puerto Rico. As part of his private practice he represented financial institutions in Court and commercial and banking transactions. In addition, he was appointed Municipal Judge at Judicial Branch of Puerto Rico and frequently designated Superior Judge. Atty. Cruz Martínez is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. Darik has been Professor of the following courses: Financial Institutions Management, Corporate Finance, Public Finance, International Finance and Commercial Law.
Education
Darik Cruz Martínez obtained a Master of Laws (L.L.M.) from Boston University in Banking and Financial Law with concentration in Compliance Management and International Banking. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology,Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus in 1998. He obtained a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2003.
