MCM Law Firm was founded on 2011 and is directed by María Cristina Mayoral Maldonado who has more than 15 years of experience focused in the legal representation of financial institutions.

Our firm practice areas include civil law and commercial matters including, corporate law, debt collections (including foreclosure process), mortgage law, bankruptcy (representing only creditors), inheritance law, contracts, torts, civil and commercial litigation, among other general civil and commercial matters. Our law firm also offers general notary services including but not limited to affidavits, sworn statements, deeds (Purchase and sale, Wills, Power of Attorney, Prenuptial agreements, among others).

María Cristina Mayoral has represented financial institutions and private companies in different civil and commercial matters, including lender liability cases before state courts, debt collection procedures, foreclosures, banking, regulatory and compliance assessment, creditor’s rights in bankruptcy proceedings, civil fraud, real estate, drafting and execution of private contracts, mortgage and commercial closings and general legal counseling services.
Education:

María Cristina Mayoral is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (2003), the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico (2005), and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (2008). Licensed notary public (2003). She also obtained a Banking and Financial Law Master Degree (LLM) from Boston University with concentration in Compliance Management and Credit and Lending Transactions (2007).
